Guwahati: A body of a women was recovered after a country-made boat caprized on Monday, in Ghiladhari river in Assam’s Biswanath district.
Reportedly, the deceased woman has been identified as Deepanjali Keot. Additionally, another woman is also believed to have drowned and the rescue operations are still on progress.
As per reports, when the boat capsized there were around six women who were travelling and the cause of the accident is suspected due to the overloading.
Reportedly, the six women had gone to the other side for the cultivation works. The women belonged to Mulgarh area and the incident took place while they were returning back to their home.
However, the rescue operations were managed by the boatman and the locals after the incident while two others went missing.
Later, the women who was rescued was immediately rushed to a hospital for medical attention.
