Assam: Another Mastermind of HSLC Paper Leak Case Surrenders
Guwahati: One of the mastermind Kumud Rajkhowa in the HSLC paper leak case surrenders himself on March 17 in Lakhimpur district of Assam.
According to reports, the incident occurs shortly after Rajkhowa was invited to surrender willingly by Assam Director General of Police (DGP) GP Singh.
GP Singh claimed that the police have all the evidence against Rajkhowa during a news conference.
The third accused Kumud Rajkhowa a teacher at Daflakata High School in Lakhimpur was also named by Singh as a close friend of the other accused Pranab Dutta.
Assam Police have detained Pranab Dutta the alleged mastermind of the HSLC paper leak scheme in Lakhimpur. Two other Gogamukh residents have also been taken into custody by the police for questioning.
According to reports, both teachers has reportedly been terminated from their posts.
The arrests were made in relation to the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) exam’s General Science (C3) topic.
In connection with the case 25 people, including students have been detained by the police so far. Twelve of them are being held in detention for three days while the other 13 are being questioned in accordance with the Youth Justice Act’s requirements.
The CID is looking into every aspect of the case due to the fact that the question papers were obtained through WhatsApp messaging.
