Assam: Anti-Corruption Youth Power Demand Investigation into LMCH Recruitment Anomalies
Guwahati: The Anti-Corruption Youth Power Assam has sought a thorough investigation into the alleged irregularities regarding the recruitment exam results for the Grade III and Grade IV positions at the Lakhimpur Medical College and Hospital (LMCH) were recently released.
While addressing a press conference in Guwahati, The Anti-Corruption Youth Power stated, “The Assam Police is trying to divert from the problem. Massive irregularities have occurred during the medical college’s hiring process. We urge the earliest possible high-level investigation into the situation.”
The union added that the police and state government needed to investigate the situation in order to learn the full facts.
The union member said, “The principal is accountable for candidates having doubts about the findings. He needs to be fired from his position.”
The organisation added that a report regarding the incident was filed on September 16 at the Lakhimpur Police Station.
Additionally, accusations have been made against the leader of the BJP branch in the Lakhimpur district.
The district president had addressed a letter to Assam Chief Minter Himanata Biswa Sarma over the selection of BJP candidates for the seats, according to the Anti-Corruption Youth Power. We also urge an investigation into these selected individuals.
A noteworthy fact is that the tests in question were given on March 13 and the results were released on September 13. After the results were released, it was claimed that a candidate who took the exam at a centre in the Dhemaji area and turned in an OMR sheet that was nearly blank was able to pass the exam by responding to just a few questions after the warning bell sounded. Additionally, it was claimed that the same roll number was repeated across various employment classifications.
Massive protests against the charges of corruption in the selection process for various positions at the medical institution took place all around Lakhimpur.
