Guwahati, 16th April: In a brazen assault, armed miscreants targeted an Assam Rifles vehicle carrying a patrol team on the Namdang-Changlang road in Margherita, Tinsukia, during the early hours of Tuesday, April 16.
The assailants, yet to be identified, opened fire at the Assam Rifles vehicle, with heavy gunfire still ongoing at the scene.
Preliminary reports suggest the involvement of suspected NSCN cadres in the attack on Assam Rifles.
