Guwahati, 20th April: Assam’s academic fraternity mourns the loss of Rajiv Lekharu, an esteemed assistant professor within the commerce department at Bihpuria College, located in the Lakhimpur district. Tragically, Lekharu met his untimely demise in a devastating road accident while returning from his dedicated election duty during the inaugural phase of polling in Assam.
The fatal incident occurred near Doolahat, situated roughly 23 kilometers from Bihpuria in Lakhimpur, casting a pall of sorrow over the educational community and beyond.
