Guwahati, 18th September: In a shocking incident, unidentified miscreants reportedly launched a vicious attack on a man within the premises of Lumding Railway Station in Hojai district, Assam.
According to reports, a laborer suffered critical injuries after being assaulted with a rod by these miscreants at Lumding Railway Station on Sunday night. After committing this heinous act, the assailants reportedly fled the scene.
Upon learning of the incident, the victim’s family members rushed him to Guwahati Metro Hospital, where he is currently admitted in a critical condition. The injured laborer has been identified as Amar Dey and is a resident of Lumding.
Furthermore, the victim’s family has leveled accusations of negligence against the railway police, claiming that they were not on duty, which allowed the incident to occur. The family also alleged that the miscreants stole the victim’s chain and cash.
While the precise motive behind the attack remains unclear, there are suspicions that it may have been fueled by personal rivalry. Currently, the injured man is undergoing treatment in critical condition as authorities investigate the incident.
