Assam: Authorities Apprehend Alleged Drug Peddlers in Kakopathar
Guwahati, 15th May: On May 14th, Bardumsa police in Kakopathar successfully intercepted two suspected drug peddlers at North Vishrampur Tinali. Bolin Dahotia and his son Bitupan Dahotiya, residents of Rumaigavaru village, were apprehended while reportedly en route to supply drugs in the area.
Law enforcement officials discovered approximately 35 grams of illicit substances in the possession of the detained individuals. Despite the arrest of the Dahotia duo, another alleged smuggler managed to evade capture during the operation.
The swift action by authorities underscores their commitment to combatting drug trafficking in Kakopathar. This arrest represents a significant step forward in ongoing efforts to curb the proliferation of illicit substances and maintain law and order in the region.
