Guwahati, 18th November: An autorickshaw driver was arrested by Assam Police from Karimganj allegedly with banned drugs worth Rs 50 lakh on November 17.
Based on specific inputs, an autorickshaw bearing registration number AS 10 C 2940 was searched by the police officials at the national highway in Sargola area.
Upon searching, 48 packets with around 9600 Yaba tablets weighing 1060 kgs were seized from the autorickshaw.
The autorickshaw driver identified as Niaz Uddin was apprehended by Karimganj Sadar Police for interrogation.
