Guwahati, 3rd June: In a significant operation targeting drug trafficking, Bagori police in Kaliabor apprehended two suspected drug peddlers during a late-night operation on Sunday, June 2.
The arrested individuals, identified as Sukur Ali (24) from Harmati under Bagri police station and Gayasuddin (28), were captured after a high-speed pursuit by law enforcement officers.
Authorities confiscated thirty-seven containers suspected to contain illicit substances, along with the motorcycle allegedly used for transportation, bearing the registration number AS-02-AP-5681.
Following their apprehension, the arrested suspects were transferred to Jakhalabandha police for further investigation and legal proceedings.
This swift action by Bagori police highlights the crucial role of local law enforcement agencies in combating drug-related crimes and ensuring the safety and security of communities.
