Guwahati: Ratul Kumar Das has been relieved of his post as the Inspector of Schools for Barpeta, Assam, marking a significant administrative shift within the district’s education sector.
An official directive from the Barpeta District Commissioner revealed that the removal of Das was executed based on administrative necessities and with the overarching aim of serving the public interest.
The order explicitly detailed that Das has been released from all supplementary duties, encompassing his responsibilities as Principal and Headmaster across numerous schools within the Barpeta District Circle (BDC).
This personnel change is a direct result of Government Order No. SA-15/107/2023, dated November 28, 2023, and was implemented with the explicit consent of the Hon’ble Guardian Minister of Barpeta district. Sangeeta Sarkar, previously an Assistant Commissioner in Barpeta, has been designated as the immediate successor, assuming the role of the new School Inspector for the Barpeta District Circle (BDC).
