Guwahati: A businessman was kidnapped by some unidentified assailants by threatening him with sharp weapons in Silchar of Assam.
The kidnapped businessman has been identified as Selim Uddin Barbhuyan, a resident of Badarpur Ghat.
According to reports, Selim Uddin was abducted from Sonai Road on Saturday night and driven off on a Wagon R.
The attackers have reportedly demanded a payment from his family for Selim’s release.
Meanwhile, Selim’s family reported the crime in a FIR at the Rangirkhari Police Station.
The police have started their search activities in order to find the abductors and rescue Selim.
