Guwahati: In a tragic incident, two youths lost their lives when their bike collided with a tree in West Karbi Anglong district of Assam.
The incident occurred at Kheroni on Sunday night during Christmas celebrations.
The bike with the registration number “AS 09 D 7995,” reportedly lost control at a high speed and struck a wayside tree. Both died on the spot.
The deceased were identified as Maniram Tiss and Kolngar Sarkiri, hailing from Nihang gaon.
Meanwhile, local police arrived at the scene of the collision and recovered the body for post mortem.
