Guwahati, 28th April: In a tragic incident, a motorcyclist was killed after being run over by a traveller in Nagaon district of Assam on April 28.
The accident occurred in front of Dhaba Gonga on Kawaimari road connecting between Batadrava Than and Nagaon.
The motorcyclist has been identified as Abu Shahed and was a resident of Kawaimari in Nagaon.
As per sources, he was killed after a traveller allegedly rammed into his bike and tried to flee the scene.
The traveller bearing registration registration number AS 01 GC 2623, collided with Shahed’s bike (AS02AL0892) while being driven rashly.
Sources further informed that the driver of the traveler escaped from the spot following the accident.
The traveler’s driver has been identified as Jyoti.
Upon receiving information, Jajori Police officials arrived at the spot.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
