Assam: BJP Leader Reoreoa Narzihary Removed as Executive Member of Bodoland Territorial Council Amid Internal Tensions
Guwahati, 29th August: In the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), Reoreoa Narzihary, a prominent Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, has been removed from his position as an Executive Member (EM) of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC). The decision, officially announced on August 28, was made by the Governor of Assam following escalating internal conflicts within the BTC government.
Narzihary’s removal comes in the wake of rising tensions within the BTC, which is headed by Chief Executive Member (CEM) Pramod Boro. According to sources, Narzihary had been openly expressing his dissatisfaction with Boro’s leadership and the overall functioning of the BTC administration. His public dissent reportedly created divisions among council members, prompting Boro to lodge a formal complaint with the Governor.
The complaint highlighted Narzihary’s actions as being detrimental to the unity and effectiveness of the BTC government. In response, the Governor approved Narzihary’s dismissal from his roles as EM responsible for Industries and Commerce, and Legal Metrology.
This move marks a significant development in the ongoing power dynamics within the BTC, signaling a consolidation of authority under CEM Pramod Boro amidst the internal discord.
