Guwahati, 14th April: Following the release of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) manifesto in New Delhi, Minister of AYUSH, Sabarnanda Sonowal, addressed the media to elaborate on the significant pledges outlined in the document. Against the backdrop of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s steadfast vision for the nation, Sonowal highlighted key initiatives aimed at transforming the lives of millions across India.
Sonowal underscored the comprehensive nature of the manifesto, describing it as a roadmap for the future well-being of all citizens. A major initiative unveiled is the introduction of the Ayushman Card, intended to alleviate the financial burden of medical treatment by providing coverage for medical expenses up to 5 lakhs, thereby enhancing healthcare accessibility for all.
Additionally, the BJP’s commitment to addressing housing needs was emphasized, with plans announced to provide homes for 3 crore deserving individuals. This ambitious project reflects the party’s dedication to fostering inclusive growth and prosperity nationwide.
In a bid to empower women and promote entrepreneurship, Sonowal revealed the party’s intention to create 3 crore ‘Lakhpoti Baideo’ (women entrepreneurs) systematically. This initiative seeks to bolster economic opportunities for women while championing gender equality and empowerment.
Furthermore, Sonowal highlighted plans for the construction of toilets specifically for women, recognizing the importance of sanitation in promoting health and dignity. Additionally, he announced proposals for the introduction of a bullet train, aimed at enhancing connectivity and efficiency in transportation.
Sonowal’s address encapsulated the essence of the BJP manifesto, portraying it as a visionary blueprint embodying the party’s commitment to inclusive development, empowerment, and progress for all segments of society. Earlier today, the BJP released its election manifesto titled ‘Modi ki Guarantee’, focusing on further development, women’s welfare, and a roadmap for a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (developed India). The manifesto includes promises such as ‘One Nation One Election’, ‘single electoral roll’, promotion of ‘Lakhpati Didis’, and eliminating electricity bills through the PM Surya Ghar Yojana. Other commitments include India’s bid for the 2036 Olympics, implementation of the National Education Policy, and a law against paper leaks. The manifesto was unveiled in the presence of top BJP leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and party president JP Nadda.
