Assam BJP MLA Asserts Country will Not Accept Mahagathbandhan
Guwahati: Assam Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Diganta Kalita said that the nation’s citizens would not accept the opposition’s Mahagathbandhan.
Slamming Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar and his party Janata Dal (United), Congress, and Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Saturday, MLA Diganta Kalita alleged that they are all corrupt.
Diganta Kalita said, “They are hungry for power. They don’t consider the welfare of the populace or the advancement of the nation. They won’t be accepted in India.”
In addition, Kalita said that whereas the Congress and the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) are linked to Muslims of Bangladeshi descent, the BJP is more closely associated with indigenous people and Assamese ethnic groups.
Meanwhile, expressing certainty about winning the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Kalita added that the BJP and its allies will take home 12 of the 14 seats.
“We will see a Congress-mukt Assam and India in the coming days,” he added.
