Guwahati: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has emerged victorious in the Sribhumi Zila Parishad elections, winning 11 out of 16 seats. This decisive win has solidified the party’s dominance in the district’s rural political landscape.

The BJP candidates have won from the following seats:
– Maizgram Suprakandi (Seat 1)
– Srigauri (Seat 3)
– Kanainagar Fakuya (Seat 6)
– Radhepiyari (Seat 8)
– Bhairabnagar (Seat 10)
– Dullavchhara (Seat 12)
– Cheragi (Seat 11)
– Nilambazar (Seat 15)
The party also secured unopposed victories in Chankhira (Seat 5) and Loairpoa (Seat 7).
Congress Party’s Performance
The Congress party has won five seats, including:
– Rajatilla Umarpur (Seat 2)
– Srimantkanishail Bashael (Seat 4)
– Kaliganj (Seat 13)
– Lakhibazar (Seat 14)
– Tilabari Bandkona (Seat 16)
