Guwahati, 7th December: The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has officially announced the schedule for the Higher Secondary (HS) examination set to take place in 2024.
The HS exams are scheduled to commence on February 12 and will conclude on March 13, 2024.
Concurrently, the practical examination is slated to occur between January 24 and February 8, 2024.

In a prior decision made in November, the AHSEC had announced the introduction of a Pre-Final Test Examination for second-year HS students, which is scheduled to be held in December 2023. The council specified that the pre-final test exam would be conducted in all permitted and recognized institutions under its jurisdiction. In preparation for this exam, institutions were directed to organize various aspects, including the creation of a pre-final exam routine, development of subject-wise question papers, distribution of blank answer scripts, issuance of admit cards, assessment of answer scripts, declaration of results, and distribution of marksheets.
