Guwahati, 17th June: In a distressing incident, the bodies of a 60-year-old woman identified as Chandrabhan Bibi and her 9-year-old granddaughter Chamela Khatun were discovered floating in a pond in Jaripuddin, No. 2 Goraimari, under Panbari police station in Bijni.
Chandrabhan Bibi and Chamela Khatun, residents of Shilquari in No. 2 Goraimari, had been reported missing for several days before their tragic discovery.
Local authorities and villagers are deeply shocked and saddened by the incident. Investigations are currently underway to ascertain the circumstances leading to their disappearance and subsequent deaths.
