Assam: Bodo Security Committee and Public Security Party Unite for Community Upliftment

Baska: In a significant development, the Bodo Security Committee and the Public Security Party have joined forces, pledging to work together for the betterment of the Bodo community.

The announcement was made during a joint press conference in Baska, where leaders from both organizations expressed their discontent with the alleged neglect by the ruling Bodoland Peoples Front (BPF) and United Peoples Party Liberal (UPPL).

Bodo leader Jon Das, a prominent figure in the region, sharply criticized the two parties for prioritizing personal interests over the needs of the Bodo people. He questioned the rationale behind the BPF and UPPL’s recent political alliance, highlighting the potential for similar unity among Bodo organizations. “If they can unite for their own benefit, why can’t we unite for the sake of our community?” Das asked, emphasizing the need for a collective effort to address the challenges faced by the Bodo people.

Ghanashyam Das, a member of the Public Security Party, echoed these sentiments, expressing optimism about the new alliance. He viewed the partnership as a beacon of hope for the Bodo community, capable of driving positive change and addressing long-standing issues.

The alliance between the two organizations is expected to reshape the Bodo political landscape, offering a potential alternative to the existing power dynamics. By uniting their efforts, the Bodo Security Committee and the Public Security Party aim to advocate for the rights and welfare of the Bodo community, seeking to bring about meaningful development and progress in the region.
