Assam: Bodoland FC Prepares for 133rd Durand Cup with Local Talent Trials
Guwahati, 22nd May: Bodoland FC is gearing up for the 133rd Durand Cup, Asia’s oldest football tournament, slated to take place from July 26 to August 30 across various cities including Kokrajhar, Kolkata, Shillong, Jamshedpur, and Imphal. This year, the prestigious event will feature 24 teams from Asia.
Coach Daimalu Muchahary expressed enthusiasm as Bodoland FC prepares for its second participation in the Durand Cup. To reinforce their squad, the team will conduct trials to identify local talent from five districts within the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR): Kokrajhar, Chirang, Baksa, Tamulpur, and Udalguri.
The trial schedule is as follows:
- May 26: Kokrajhar
- May 28: Chirang
- May 30: Baksa
- June 1: Tamulpur
- June 3: Udalguri
This initiative aims to harness local talent and fortify Bodoland FC’s lineup for the upcoming tournament.
