Assam: Body Found Wrapped in Polythene in Mangaldoi; Investigation On
Guwahati, 30th July: In a shocking incident, a 19-year-old woman’s body was found wrapped in a plastic bag in Mangaldoi district of Assam today.
The incident took place in Athiabari village of the district.
The deceased has been identified as Krishna Moni Deka who was a daughter of Govind Deka and was a resident of Bor Athiabari.
As per sources, Krishna had went out of her home to visit a nearby temple, but her mobile phone was switched off shortly after she left, causing concern among her parents.
Following her disappearance, Krishna’s family informed the neighbors but no clues were found regarding her whereabouts.
Today morning, locals spotted a suspicious bundle wrapped in cloth by the roadside.
Meanwhile, they immediately informed the Mangaldoi Sadar Police.
Upon arrival, the police official have cordoned off the area and unwrapped the bundle to reveal the body of the young woman, who was later identified as Krishna Moni Deka.
Meanwhile, the body has been sent to Mangaldoi Civil Hospital for post mortem examination.
