Assam: Body of Air Force Personnel’s Son Found in Jia Bharali River
Guwahati: The search for Ritwik Ghosh, the son of an Indian Air Force personnel, has ended in tragedy as his body was recovered from the Jia Bharali River today.
This discovery follows a five-day search after both Ritwik and his father, Bapi Ghosh, fell into the Kameng River in Tippi, Arunachal Pradesh, on October 17.
The incident occurred when the duo was near the riverbank, where they were swept away by the strong currents. Despite swift efforts by local authorities, military personnel, and rescue teams, both father and son went missing.
The search for the pair intensified after Bapi Ghosh’s body was located two days ago at Chikmukh in Jamugurihat.
With the recovery of Ritwik’s body today, the Ghosh family is now facing an unimaginable loss, mourning the tragic demise of both father and son.
The local community is also grieving, paying tribute to the sacrifice of Bapi Ghosh, who served in the Air Force, and the life of his young son.
The incident serves as a solemn reminder of the dangers posed by strong river currents, prompting renewed discussions on safety measures near waterways.
