Assam: Body of Missing Teenager Recovered from Dudhnoi River after 72-Hour Search Operation
Guwahati: In a heart-wrenching incident, the body of a 16-year-old student who went missing while fishing has been recovered today from Dudhnoi River in Goalpara district of Assam.
The minor has been identified as Crossfield Changma.
Changma, a tenth-grade student and a resident of Garopara village in Rangjuli subdivision went for fishing when he was swept away by the strong currents of the river.
Changma has been recovered after three days he went missing.
A team from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and the Matia police launched a rescue operation after the incident.
Despite their efforts, they were unable to recover the body immediately.
On the morning of the third day, locals near the Mornoi police station area spotted a body floating in the Dudhnoi-Krishnai River.
The police were informed and recovered the body, confirming it to be Crossfield Changma.
Notably, the officials are continuing their investigation into the incident.
