Assam Boy Bags In Muay Thai Against Opponent From Thailand
Guwahati: A professional Muay Thai athlete from Assam Ambarish Ning Gogoi and one of just eight Indians to compete internationally recorded a notable victory on November 12 at Patong Boxing Championship.
Gogoi won by a score of 30-27 going up against his Thanachat that evening. He defeated his Thai opponent in all of the rounds.
He now has a new victory to add to his vast record of triumphs. Ambarish Ning Gogoi is the first and only Muay Thai athlete from Assam, it should be highlighted. Since 2016, he has participated in international fights.
He currently competes professionally out of Phuket Fight Club in Phuket, Thailand. He is the son of Mrs. Tripti Borgohain Gogoi and the late Kanak Gogoi.
Ambarish Ning Gogoi was born in the Langkashi village in Tinsukia district of Assam. He was raised in Duliajan and did his further education at St. Xaviers Higher Secondary School.
Since 2016, he has been interested in Muay Thai, also referred to as Thai boxing. It is a combat sport that combines various clinching manoeuvres with stand-up hitting. This activity, which is characterised by the simultaneous use of fists, elbows, knees, and shins, is also known as the “art of eight limbs.”
