Guwahati: With the countings continuing in Assam targetted to five seats, early trends indicate that the BJP and its ally the United Peoples Party Liberal (UPPL) will be sweeping the polls.
BJP’s Rupjyoti Kurmi is seen leading in the Mariani seat while Congress candidate Luhit Konwar is seen leading behind. Apart from this, both the UPPL candidates are expected to sweep the polls.
