Guwahati, September 3, 2024 – In a gesture of appreciation, the Assam Cabinet has adopted a resolution to express gratitude to Gulab Chand Kataria, the Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh, for his exemplary service during his tenure as Governor of Assam. The resolution was presented in Chandigarh today by Ministers Ranjeet Kumar Dass and Chandra Mohan Patowary.
The resolution, adopted on August 9, 2024, highlights Kataria’s outstanding contributions to Assam’s growth and development. Known for his extensive tours across districts and proactive engagement with district administrations, Kataria’s leadership significantly advanced governance and public affairs in the state.
The Assam Cabinet praised Kataria for his mentorship and guidance, which were instrumental in fostering state progress. The resolution also conveyed wishes for Kataria’s continued success in his new roles as Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh, along with hopes for his good health in the future.
