Assam Cabinet Approves 3 New Flyovers Projects in Guwahati
Guwahati: The Assam cabinet approved three additional flyovers for Guwahati.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma declared at a press conference conducted in Silchar following the cabinet meeting which was held for the first time in Barak Valley on Tuesday.
The new flyovers will be constructed in front of the Downtown Hospital, other one at Kumapara and one at Fatasil Ambari.
According to the chief minister, the DPR will be ready for the flyovers and it will take a year to prepare.
It was the first time in the state’s history that the chief minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma called a special meeting of his cabinet in Silchar.
The Assam government announced the building of its Mini Secretariat at Silchar for three districts of the Barak valley on February 19, 2021 to bring the administration at the people’s doorstep.
Howecver, Silchar which is the main town of the Barak Valley hosted a state cabinet meeting for the first time.
