Assam Cabinet Meeting Postponed in Silchar

Guwahati: The eagerly anticipated Assam Cabinet meeting that was supposed to take place in Silchar on November 11 has been rescheduled.

The meeting has been postponed for the time being, according to Cachar Deputy Commissioner Rohan Kumar Jha, who also said that a new date for the meeting has not yet been announced. Jha continued saying that the continuing preparations for the conference will pick up speed.

All significant meetings, for which preparations have been hastened are expected to take place on November 29.

According to reports, this will be the first Cabinet meeting of the State Government in Barak Valley therefore expectations are high for the cabinet conglomeration’s potential to produce a development-focused result.

Both-sided guard walls at the Rangirkhal canal from Kanakpur to Rangirkhari and other major projects including flood mitigation, development of Silchar and other areas of the Barak Valley and revitalising the tourism industry in Southern Assam are set to see their official openings.
