Assam Cabinet Minister Pijush Hazarika Sets Transparent Tone for Job Recruitment

Guwahati, 22nd December: Pijush Hazarika, a prominent Assam cabinet minister, has established an open and transparent tone in government job recruitment.

Responding to a user’s request for a government job, Hazarika emphasized the government’s commitment to merit-based recruitment under Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Earlier on December 22, an X user identified as Nayan Kalita sought for a government job and wrote, “I am poor. Sir please Job grade 3/4 post give please”.

To this, the cabinet minister replied, “Buddy – No one, including me, can help you get a job in the government led by HCM Dr @himantabiswa. Jobs can be only secured by merit. Days when Minister’s & MLA’s could recommend jobs are history. So study, work hard and apply for any one of our ongoing recruitment exams.”

He highlighted the end of past practices involving recommendations, wealth, and bribery, asserting that jobs can now only be secured through merit.

This approach aligns with the government’s dedication to eradicating corruption from the recruitment process, ensuring fairness, and providing equal opportunities for the youth of Assam.

Hazarika’s response reflects the administration’s mission to fill vacant posts and create substantial employment opportunities over the next two and a half years.
