Assam: Cachar District Commissioner Holds Special Meeting with Media to Enhance Transparency
Guwahati, 21st September: In a bid to enhance transparency and strengthen communication, Cachar District Commissioner Mridul Yadav, IAS, convened a special meeting with representatives from both print and electronic media at the DC’s office on Saturday.
During his welcome address, DC Yadav acknowledged the media’s crucial role in shaping public discourse. “The media serves as the vital bridge between the administration and the public,” he stated, emphasizing its importance in highlighting issues and disseminating key information.
The interactive session provided journalists an opportunity to engage directly with the district administration, addressing various local concerns, including developmental projects and law enforcement. DC Yadav reiterated his commitment to transparency, asserting, “We are here to listen and ensure that accurate and timely information reaches the public.”
This meeting marked a significant step in reinforcing the bond between the district administration and the media, highlighting the need for continued cooperation to effectively serve the community of Cachar district.
