Assam: Cachar Police Apprehend Alleged Smugglers, Seize Massive Quantity of Heroin
Guwahati, 29th February: In a well-coordinated operation conducted by the Cachar police in Katigora of Cachar, two alleged smugglers were apprehended and a significant quantity of heroin was seized. The individuals arrested were identified as Sultan Ahmed Barbhuyan and Renaul Karim Barbhuyan.
The operation, characterized by precision and coordination, resulted in the confiscation of approximately 52 grams of heroin, with an estimated market value worth more than lakhs. Acting swiftly upon receiving intelligence regarding the illicit activities of the apprehended individuals, law enforcement authorities ensured the successful execution of the operation.
Sultan Ahmed Barbhuyan and Renaul Karim Barbhuyan are currently in custody, facing charges related to the possession and trafficking of narcotics.
