Assam Chief Minister Inaugurates Rs. 23 Crore Assam Bhawan in Vellore
National Desk, 26th September: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma marked a significant moment as he inaugurated the Assam Bhawan, constructed at a cost of Rs. 23 crore, in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, on Tuesday afternoon.
The inauguration ceremony took place at 1 p.m., drawing attention to the cultural and administrative significance of the newly constructed Assam Bhawan.
This Assam Bhawan boasts a range of amenities, including 40 double-bed rooms to accommodate guests, two VIP/VVIP suites for distinguished visitors, a seven-bed female dormitory, three five-bed male dormitories, three four-bedroom spaces, and a 2BHK apartment.
Additionally, the Bhawan features an office space for the Joint Resident Commissioner, providing administrative support for the facility.
The inauguration of the Assam Bhawan in Vellore marks a key development in enhancing the state’s presence in Tamil Nadu while offering comfortable accommodation and services to individuals traveling between the two regions. This new facility not only strengthens regional connectivity but also promotes cultural exchange and cooperation between Assam and Tamil Nadu.
