Assam Chief Minister to Grace Mopin Festival in Arunachal Pradesh
Guwahati: In a gesture symbolizing regional camaraderie, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is set to participate as the chief guest in the Mopin Festival celebrations held in Aalo, within the West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh.
The significant cultural event, deeply rooted in the traditions of the Galo community, will witness Sarma joining in the festivities, marking a moment of shared heritage between the neighboring states.
Expressing his anticipation, Chief Minister Sarma conveyed his heartfelt greetings to the Galo people via social media, stating, “Hearty greetings to the Galo community of Arunachal Pradesh on the occasion of Mopin Festival. Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu extended a warm welcome to his Assam counterpart, highlighting the significance of Sarma’s presence. “Happy Mopin..! On behalf of the people of Arunachal Pradesh, I extend a warm welcome to Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam, Shri @himantabiswa ji, to Aalo as the Chief Guest of the Mopin celebration,” Khandu remarked, emphasizing the spirit of hospitality and mutual respect.
