Guwahati: A conflict broke out between two groups in the Karimganj district of Assam on Friday morning over the installation of a tube well.
The incident occurred at Nilambazar locality of the district.
Reports claim that the altercation started because one of the gang allegedly tried to put a tube well in front of a temple.
A group of people carrying bamboo could be seen in the footage.
Reports further stated that some people sustained injuries in the clashes.
A person who was directly involved in establishing the tube well was detained by the Karimganj police after the incident, however no formal complaint has been lodged in the case.
Meanwhile, the local administration summoned a meeting at the Nilambazar circle office to restore peace in the area.
