Guwahati: In an unfortunate incident, a minor boy allegedly attempted suicide by jumping off from a mall in Rukminigaon area of Guwahati on Tuesday.
The minor boy has been identified as 16-year-old Pritam Medhi. He is a student of standard IX in Anand Academy.
According to reports, he allegedly leaped from the fifth floor of the INOX mall at around 2.25 p.m. today.
Following the incident, Medhi was immediately rushed to the GNRC hospital in a severe condition and is now being treated.
As per doctors, the minor boy fractured his hip, both legs, and his right hand.
However, the reason behind for him taking the extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
