Guwahati: Assam is all set to start the offline classes for Class X from September 20.
State Education Minister Ranuj Pegu said that Assam government will soon start the offline classes in phases. “Some good news will come after the next state cabinet meeting which will be conducted on Wednesday or Thursday” , he added.
The general Secretary of Ashom Madhyamik Shikshak Aru Karmachari said that as the COVID situation in Assam has improved and life has returned to normalcy, the government should proceed their plan to start the offline classes in the state in a phased manner.
He further added that keeping the board examination in mind the physical classes for Class X should not be delayed.
Currently, in the state the daily COVID-19 cases has been drifting around 500 with a steady positivity rate between 0.50 to 1 percent.
