Assam: Classes To Continue In These Districts During Summer Vacations
Guwahati: Formal classes would continue during the summer vacations in schools in several districts of Assam, as per an order.
The district-level school inspectors made the choice.
Education will be provided in institutions that struggled in the most recent high school graduation certificate (HSLC) exams, the results of which were released on June 7.
In schools that performed poorly, classes will be held for standards nine and up through 12.
The districts of Assam where classes will be held during summer vacation are Golaghat, Chirang and Tinsukia.
It may be noted that the overall pass rate for the HSLC and Assam High Madrassa (AHM) exams administered by the Board of Secondary Education (SEBA) was 56.49 percent.
Around, 4.31 lakh students took the board exams.
Of the total, 64,101 students received a third-place finish, 99,854 students received a second-place finish, and 65,176 students received a first-place finish.
8,373 students earned distinction marks in the exams, while 14,047 students received star grades.
