Assam CM: ADB an Important Partner in Implementing Critical Projects in India
Guwahati: India now works closely with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) on crucial projects totaling Rs. 15,864 crore in the fields of energy production, transportation and skill development. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated this in a tweet on March 22.
The tweet was sent following a review meeting between ADB representatives and the Chief Minister during which they talked about current projects and potential future partnerships. This recent declaration emphasises the ongoing dedication to India’s development objectives in the long-standing collaboration between ADB and India.
India is anticipated to make progress towards its development objectives, particularly in the fields of infrastructure, social development and environmental protection with the ADB’s assistance.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and ADB President Masatsugu Asakawa met to go over India’s numerous development priorities on February 22. President Asakawa informed the ADB of his determination to support the nation’s goals for quick, inclusive and environmentally friendly growth during the following five years, according to a statement the ADB issued after the meeting.
ADB’s Asakawa and PM Modi spoke about a variety of topics pertaining to India’s growth and how the bank can help the country move closer to its development objectives during their discussion.
