Assam CM: BJP Getting Unprecedented Support In Gujarat

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Himanta Biswa Sarma claimed on Monday that the Gujarati people are giving the BJP an unbelievable amount of support.

The Assam chief minister travelled to Gujarat today to support the party ahead of the western state’s legislative assembly polls.

Speaking to the reporters there, CM Sarma declared, “The people of Gujarat have given unprecedented support to BJP. This is an indication of the party’s standings with the 2024 Lok Sabha general elections looming.”

Exuding confidence CM Sarma said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi will again become the PM of India by breaching the 400 seats mark.”

The Assam chief minister then made fun of the Congress. Some citizens of the nation are misinterpreting freedom because of the appeasement policies of the Congress.

The top BJP leader was also quoted as saying that the horrific murder of Shraddha Walker, which shocked the country, was the product of “love jihad.”

CM Sarma said, “Incidents like the Aftab-Shraddha is because of the rampant love jihad in the country. There should be a law against love jihad in India and PM Modi will usher in this law.”

“India also feels the need for a Uniform Civil Code,” added the Assam CM.

He further said, “Since the BJP came to power in 2014, terrorist forces that had weakened the nation are diminishing. This has been made possible by PM Modi, who ended the politics of appeasement.”
