Assam CM Chairs Crucial Meeting to Shape Future Growth with Guwahati Master Plan 2045

Guwahati, 25th December: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today led a pivotal meeting, meticulously examining the draft of the Guwahati Master Plan 2045. Crafted by the Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA), the plan addresses the burgeoning needs of Guwahati and its expanding populace.

Officials, during the meeting, presented the comprehensive Draft Guwahati Master Plan 2045 to Chief Minister Sarma, highlighting intricate details of drainage, water supply, sewerage, and environmental planning systems. Engaging in a thorough review, the Chief Minister offered insights and suggested modifications, aiming to mold the final Master Plan into a growth template for the days ahead.

Accompanying CM Sarma, Guwahati Development Minister Ashok Singhal and other officials were present at the meeting. Taking to the social media platform X afterward, CM Sarma emphasized the importance of decongesting the city, advocating for the creation of urban forests, parks, and green spaces. He expressed the vision to propel Guwahati to become one of the premier cities in the country in the forthcoming years.
