Assam CM: COVID-19 Pandemic Might Return Again

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma hinted on Wednesday that the COVID-19 pandemic could resurface. No one knows how or when the pandemic will resurface, he said.

CM Sarma said the pandemic has claimed many lives while launching the COVID-19 immunisation for students aged 12-14 years at Rukminigaon Balika Vidyalaya. “As a result of the pandemic, we have remained economically backward. Our lives have been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.”

He further stated that more cases have arisen in China in recent days, and that people should be cautious because no one knows how or when the pandemic would return.

As a result, he urged people to get vaccinated. “We are sceptical that it will reappear, so we strongly advise everyone to get vaccinated.” “The immunisation campaign is still going on around the country,” he added.

The chief minister further remarked that the immunisation process in the country has been continued under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s supervision.

He also stated that 4.35 crore individuals in Assam had been vaccinated, with the government now aiming to vaccinate children.

“The vaccination has no negative effects, and it should be taken after breakfast, and people should rest for a while after they have been vaccinated.” ‘Teachers across the state should ensure that no youngsters receive vaccine shots without first eating breakfast,’ stated the chief minister.

He also advised parents to have their children vaccinated for their own safety.
