Guwahati — Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated a range of new facilities at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Guwahati, significantly enhancing the institute’s capacity and infrastructure. The additions include a modern shelter home for patients and their families, a state-of-the-art auditorium, and advanced medical equipment, all aimed at improving patient care and support services.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed his gratitude towards Prime Minister Modi and Union Health Minister JP Nadda for their commitment to strengthening the healthcare landscape in Assam. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiatives today have given a new direction to AIIMS Guwahati, transforming it into one of the country’s premier medical institutes,” Sarma stated.
