Assam CM Criticizes Political Theatrics of Rakibul Hussain and Badruddin Ajmal

Guwahati, 2nd May: Addressing an election rally in Golakganj, Dhubri, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took aim at Congress leader Rakibul Hussain and AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal.

Sarma highlighted the shifting alliances between the two leaders, describing their bond during the 2021 elections as ‘Mahajut’ (Strong alliance) and their current state during the 2024 Lok Sabha election as ‘bhangajut’ (broken bond).

During his speech, Sarma commented on the physical appearances of the leaders, noting their weight and how they embrace each other despite their differences.

He accused them of engaging in political theatrics, suggesting that their public posturing against each other lacks sincerity and is merely for show, with little substance behind their alliances or oppositions. Sarma criticized their attempts to sway voters in Dhubri, labeling their actions as “dramabazi” (drama).
