Assam CM details PM Modi’s visit to Kaziranga, to spend night at the national park

Guwahati, 5th March: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting the state and spending a night at Kaziranga National Park.

This historic visit marks the first time a Prime Minister will be staying overnight at the park, renowned for its one-horned rhinos. Additionally, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate a statue commemorating a legendary Assamese warrior during his visit.

In light of Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Kaziranga National Park, jeep safaris in the Kohora range will be closed from March 7th to 9th morning. Elephant safaris in the same area will be suspended on March 8th and 9th. However, all other safari options within the park will remain operational.

Officials are diligently preparing to ensure the Prime Minister’s safety and enhance his experience during his first visit to the park. Assam’s forest minister expressed optimism that Prime Minister Modi’s visit will elevate the international profile of Kaziranga National Park.

Following his visit to Kaziranga, the Prime Minister will continue his journey to Arunachal Pradesh, embarking on a significant leg of his trip.
