Assam CM directs Keshav Mahanta to Monitor Zubeen’s Treatment

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma instructed Dibrugarh DC on Wednesday to ensure that singer Zubeen Garg received all forms of cutting-edge care. The singer collapsed in the restroom last night and was taken to the hospital today.

The chief minister further ordered that all preparations be made for his medical care and, if necessary, he should be shifted to Guwahati or should be shifted to a hospital outside state for advanced treatment through air ambulance.

The chief minister also instructed state health minister Keshab Mahanta to oversee Zubeen Garg’s whole course of treatment.

It should be noted that the singer was hospitalised after suffering a head injury. He was in Dibrugarh’s Manohari Resort. A CT scan has been conducted by doctors to ascertain his condition, while his vital parameters are stable.
