Assam: CM distributes 37,737 ration cards in Mazbat, announces development plans
Guwahati, 21st January: In a proactive effort aimed at the welfare of Mazbat residents, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma led the distribution of 37,737 ration cards during a significant event in Udalguri.
These newly issued ration cards will provide beneficiaries with access to crucial provisions, including 5 kg of complimentary rice, Rs 5 lakh for medical treatments under Ayushman Bharat and Ayushman Asom, and free LPG connections through the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
Addressing the attendees during the distribution ceremony, Chief Minister Sarma tackled the prevalent issue of water-logging in Mazbat town. He promptly directed the administration to take immediate and effective measures to alleviate this problem, aiming to create a more comfortable living environment for the local residents.
Furthermore, Chief Minister Sarma unveiled plans for the construction of a District Stadium in Udalguri, enhancing sports infrastructure in the region. Alongside this, he affirmed the government’s commitment to safeguarding land rights for the people of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), underscoring the administration’s dedication to protecting the interests of the local populace.
