Assam CM Distributes Appointment Letters to 840 Youth in Various State Departments

Guwahati, 15th February: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, on Thursday, facilitated the distribution of appointment letters to 840 deserving youth across 15 state departments. The ceremony took place at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra in Guwahati, marking a significant step towards fulfilling the state government’s commitment to providing government jobs to 1 lakh youth in Assam.

The appointments cover a diverse range of departments, with allocations as follows: 83 in the Personal Department, 65 in the Home and Political Department, 492 in the Finance Department, 2 in the Transport Department, and various others in departments such as Labour Welfare, Excise, Co-operation, Industries and Commerce, Skill Employment, Revenue & DM, Welfare of Minorities & Development, Secondary Education, Irrigation, and Housing & Urban Affairs.

This initiative underscores the Assam government’s dedication to tackling unemployment and empowering the state’s youth. To date, a total of 93,557 appointment letters have been issued to unemployed youth in the state. With the distribution of 840 additional appointment letters on February 15, the total count now stands at an impressive 94,397, reflecting the government’s unwavering commitment to youth welfare and employment generation in Assam.
