Assam CM Focuses on Women Empowerment; Thanks PM Modi for LPG Price Cut
Guwahati, 8th March: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma emphasized the pivotal role of women in the state’s governance initiatives, stating that they are the focal point of all government efforts, on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
In a post on X, Sarma celebrated the women of Assam for their courage, resilience, and entrepreneurship, affirming the government’s commitment to ensuring equal opportunities for all women in the state.
Additionally, Sarma expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the recent reduction in the prices of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders. He highlighted the significant impact of this decision on households, particularly benefiting women, and thanked PM Modi for the bold move.
Prime Minister Modi had announced the reduction in LPG cylinder prices by Rs 100 on International Women’s Day, aiming to alleviate the financial burden on households across the country, especially empowering women.
