Assam CM: Gujarat Poll Results Will Pave Way For Modi as PM In 2024

Guwahati: The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is currently at the height of its campaigning ahead of the Gujarat assembly elections and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma one of the party’s star campaigners has already spoken at three rallies in the state, including the industrial town of Surat.

While urging party members to achieve a significant victory for the party he also presented them with three very straightforward yet doable goals.

The chief minister of Assam said, “We need to make sure that there is a win for BJP in Gujarat and that too a large one because Gujarat has always led the way for the country.”

For the vital 2024 Lok Sabha elections, how and why does Gujarat’s victory in the 2022 assembly elections matter?

“The Gujarat elections will have a massive impact on the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. This election result will create an ecosystem, which is very very critical for the general election and thereby vital for us to ensure Narendra Modi returns as the nation’s Prime Minister for the third time in a row. It is important for the electorate of Gujarat to vote in huge numbers for BJP,” the Assam CM said.

The fiery orator known as the Assam chief minister was in high demand for campaigning by candidates on Thursday in Gujarat.

Rahul Gandhi missed the opportunity to campaign in states that were going to the polls, Sarma said dismissing opposition competitors like the Aam Aadmi Party and Congress party.

“There is an odd pattern that I have noticed recently regarding Rahul Gandhi’s lack of party campaigning. Rahul Gandhi will be in Gujarat if there is a cricket game in Guwahati. He won’t play on the ground; instead, he would be sitting with a bat while wearing padding”, Himanta made the remark while mocking the Gandhi scion.

According to Sarma, BJP will be at the top of the list of winners with the other parties only competing for second and third place.

“The BJP will be the top party in the state it is a battle between the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party for the second and third spot. They are no contest to us.”

The Assam chief minister is anticipated to travel back to Gujarat on November 22 for another round of campaigning following a day that included three rallies in the state.

The BJP was stopped at 99 seats out of a total of 182 seats in the 2017 elections in Gujarat. With Narendra Modi acting as the state’s chief minister for the longest period of time, the party has been in power for the past 27 years.

This time, the party led by PM Modi, Amit Shah and CR Paatil hopes to win more than 140 seats which would be a record.

The state has historically been a BJP stronghold, and the party has set its eyes on winning a seventh term in office.

Gujarat state has 182 assembly districts, will hold two rounds of voting on December 1 and 5. On December 8, which is also the day of the announcement of the results for Himachal Pradesh the votes will be counted.
